The main purpose of my phd research proposal is the investigation of entrepreneurship in Greece, especially in sectors that have great potential on export activities. Moreover, it will attempt to identify the main reasons obstructing businesses’ export-like efficiency, focusing on legislative barriers, the mentality of public administration, the capabilities and qualifications of the administrative stuff and that of the entrepreneurs. In addition, it will consider the role of institutional factors as well as the lack of professional character as complementary factors affecting the above mentioned efficiency. The research will examine PDO products and businesses trading these products as a case study.
