The purpose of this dissertation is to determine the impact of the use of new technologies on various economic outcomes such as labor supply, employment, job search and wages. In this context, the dissertation consists of research objectives which can be specialized in three sections. Two distinct analysis issues that study the impact of introducing new technologies on improving Internet accessibility, bridging the digital divide and on employment, and one that targets the use of social media data in analyzing economic outcomes in the labor market.
