Studies of Dynamic models of common factors in Macro-conometrics and their application to the measurement of inflation. The doctoral thesis aims to deepen the understanding of macroeconomic and financial phenomena by adopting large and recent data. Using Eurostat’s HCPI (Harmonized Consumer Price Index) database for individual goods and a large number of countries as well as the innovative application of Dynamic factor models, it examines inflation in the Eurozone and individual Eurozone countries and will analyze the various aspects of the economic processes associated with it and its root causes.
The PhD thesis will contribute to the promotion of our knowledge of inflation and especially in the Greek landscape and will provide important suggestions for the formulation of policies and decisions on issues of economic stability and growth in the context of the European economy.
