Departmental Reading Room
The departmental reading room, room ΑΙΘ.2.1 located on the 2nd floor of the building opposite the Computer Laboratory, serves as a study space for undergraduate students. It is accessible every working day of the year and contains copies of all the textbooks offered by the Department. Mrs. Ismini Goudi oversees its operations.
The Department subscribes to all the leading economics journals and to a large number of specialists journals related to the research activities of the faculty members. Students and staff members have access to this material through the Central Library of the University.
Computer Laboratories
For the support of the educational process and the promotion of scientific research, the Department of Economics offers a fully equipped Computer Lab on the second floor of the building, with 42 computer workstations and one instructor position. The Lab is equipped with all the latest statistical packages and other educational software. In the Computer Lab, all students have daily access.
Central University Infrastructure
Library & Information Center
The Library & Information Center (most known as LIC) is the central information unit of University of Patras, and is located at the new library building of 8.000 m2, offering more than 400 study seats and a wide range of networking facilities.
LIC houses a variety of collections, with more than 100.000 volumes in its main collection. Moreover, a sufficient number of digital collections is also available. You can search for these resources through the tools and systems that the Library provides from its website.
LIC is an open access library and can be used by external users as well. All users must have a valid User Card which is issued by the Circulation and Readers Services Department upon completion of an application.
LIC is open Monday to Friday 08:00-21:00. Please, note that opening hours vary during summer and holidays.

University Sports Center
The University Sports Centre is located on the east side of the campus and comprises a cluster of fully renovated sports areas, such as a closed basketball and volleyball court with stands and electronic scoreboards, gymnastic and dance halls, a gym, changing rooms, showers and a sauna. It also features high-standard outdoors sports areas for games and individual or group fitness sessions, such as a soccer field with lawn and stands, modern infrastructure for athletics competitions, and outdoor tennis and basketball courts. All sports facilities comply with the standards set by the General Secretariat of Sports.
The aim of the Sports Center is to design and implement specialized programs and sporting events which serve the needs of the students and the different groups of employees working for the University of Patras.
