The academic year begins on 1st of September of each year and ends on 31st of August of the following year.

Exams take place in February, June and September. Teaching of the courses is carried out on a six month basis (13 weeks) and there are winter and spring semesters.
The class timetable is prepared before the beginning of each academic year and includes the distribution of the teaching hours for courses during the five working days of the week, the full names of the teaching staff and the lecture room for each course.
