Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this course is to familiarize students with the contemporary trends οf Business Administration. Particular emphasis will be placed on the critical approach to basic concepts and theories of management science and to the analysis of practices that have implemented by leading organizations.       

At the end of this course the student should be able to:

  1. Understand the basic concepts and theories related to Management science.
  2. Understand and interpret critically the managerial practices in today’s business.

At the end of the course the student will have further developed the following skills/competences:

  1. Analyzing theoretical concepts and investigating relevant managerial practices.
  2. Presentation of ideas and solutions to problems concerning basic operations of contemporary business.

Use of ICT

The lectures content of the course for each chapter are uploaded on the internet (e-class), in the form of a series of ppt files, where from the students can freely download them using a password which is provided to them at the beginning of the course.
